Scheduling FAQ

- The times are organized in blocks – you have the autonomy to make a schedule of students from your own school that fit into the assigned times.
- You are not required to send back a listing of who is scheduled at specific times, however, a printout for each room would be helpful for our student workers on that day.
Please take note of the following bits of information:
- Parking: find the attached PDF with instructions for those who have never been to our campus before. Veterans – no major changes here, but please drop off your students at the STUDENT ENTRANCE, which will be marked by our Westwood Choirs flag.
- The doors will be open at 8am for those of you heading here early.
- There will be concessions available for the students on the contest day. There are also several options locally if you choose to organize a different plan for your students.
- Holding Room is the Cafeteria, which will also host a group of Orchestra students – be advised.
Piano Specific Information
- There will be a piano warmup room, in our piano lab. Additionally, we have three practice rooms adjacent to the Choir Room, where the Piano Solos will compete, for students within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.
- Be advised – there are 6 minute slots for ALL solos.
- Choir Room piano is a 7 foot Kawai.
- The vocal solos rooms will have Roland keyboards, not acoustic pianos.
Schedule
- As always, this is still DRAFT and should be considered as such. Several schools indicated an AM or PM time preference, and I have honored those requests.
- Room Numbers will be updated prior to the day of the event.
- The schedule runs past 5pm in some cases, so I would ask that any and all DNAs be placed at the END of your time blocks.
- All schools will rotate at the top of the hour, so that schools with larger audition counts are not bound to one judge
