WHS Choirs are a crucial component of the Graduation Ceremony, as we perform with the Westwood Symphony Orchestra.
Dress is concert black. If unsure, ask a director.
REQUIRED STUDENTS
- Current Seniors
- Current Chamber
- New to Chamber 26/27
Graduation Day Itinerary
- 4:30 PM Non-Seniors report to the choir room
- 4:45 PM Seniors sit in order in the Field House. Once done, return to Band Hall to load band/orchestra buses
- 4:45 PM Call time for all musicians (band/orchestra/choir rooms)
- 5:00 PM Load buses (seniors, you will ride with us, not with the senior class, to the events center)
- 5:30 PM Departure
- 6:45 PM Prelude music begins
- 7:00 PM Graduation begins!
- 9:45 PM Approximate return time to Westwood.
Ceremony
Pomp and Circumstance (no seniors)
- Seniors will march in with their class, step out of formation and return to the choir/orchestra area
- Be sure to tell the people before you and after you in the line to save your chair!
Star Spangled Banner
- Seniors on the first row, arranged in parts for Homeland
- Sing SSB UNISON with orchestra
Homeland
- after Homeland, seniors return to their class
Alma Mater
- no seniors
- wait for senior class to dismiss, then exit through tunnel
